“I love the Jewish school,” Ilana said. “It’s more pleasant than my old school and the classes are much smaller.”
“Isn’t it boring when there are fewer kids?” I asked.
“Boring?!” she said. “Not a chance! We have a blast!”
“You know that I’ve been to Israel seven times?” she asked. “Every time we go, we visit the Kotel. I love it.”
“What do you like about it?” I asked.
“Being in Israel reminds me of my school in Rostov where I’m surrounded by so many of my own people.”
